GDOT Safe Driving Summit
Transforming safe driving messaging into engaging visuals
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), in collaboration with the Lutzie 43 Foundation, sought to enhance the branding of the Safe Driving Summits. These summits are dedicated to educating high school students on the critical importance of safe driving practices, particularly addressing the dangers of distracted, impaired, and reckless driving.
The primary objective was to revamp the summit's branding to effectively merge GDOT's identity with the “key” branding of the Lutzie 43 Foundation. The centerpiece of the new logo is a key ring featuring the GDOT logo, reinforces the collaboration but also cleverly ties in the driving angle, serving as a reminder of the keys to safe driving.
In addition to the logo update, a new illustration featuring the inside of a car motif with seatbelts securely fastened will be emblazoned on t-shirts and various materials, serving as a powerful visual reminder of safe driving practices.
By reinforcing the message through various touchpoints, the branding plays a crucial role in raising awareness and empowering students to make informed decisions behind the wheel.
